How it started

The same conversation, over and over

The ask

Directors at nonprofits, associations, and small firms kept describing the same afternoon: a board member asks what the AI policy is, and there isn't one. They didn't need a philosophy of AI. They needed a document, a list, and a way to prove both next quarter.

The gap

Above them sat enterprise platforms at $20K–$200K a year that assume a dedicated risk team. Below them sat free templates that answer nothing and can't run a program at all. Nothing in between was built for someone doing this alongside their real job.

The build

So we started from the control library rather than the writing. Curate the controls auditors actually check, version them, and have the system retrieve them — never invent them. Everything else in the product is a way of running those controls as an ongoing program.
